Nowdays, World Cup is prevailing the whole world across oceans and mountains. Everyone is excited, thrilled, sad, disappointed,etc. Come here and talk it together, your favorite player, favorite team, match ,even judge and fans.
Honestly speaking, I am not familiar with that,just allow me have chance to know them.

you need to watch teams like Brazil and take care to note guys like Ronaldhnio, youngsters like juninhio etc to believe. Watch England too, there you will finds guys like David Beckham, william Gerrad and Waiyne Rooney. In France team there is a guy called Theiry Henry. You will fall for the game. Have someone explain the rules of the game. For example the one you refer as a judge is called a referee, or in short ref. Know the rules of the game. you will love it. Good luck.

I would like to add that football is so intense, full of emotions. excitement,joy and sorrow. People have been known to have lost all their possestions just because they placed bets on teams. When a team loses, the dreams and hopes of the wager goes up in smoke. Many have been known to commit suiside just because their team lost. marriege vows have been broken just because of football.
  The few examples above can show you howand why  soccer is the number one sport in the world today. Of course you have to know as well that because of commercialisation of the game millions watch it worlwide free. It is even more fun being in the stadia where the games are held, the atmosphere, the funs from both sides, the cheers, the colours, music, referees, the players, the journalist covering the game, the security and all, makes the game a real crowd puller and the passions that run high during the game time. In fact, I feel a little ashamed after reading your post. I am football-blinded as you see, that is not because I don;t like it, but because I was limited by the condition, here, there is no TV, and the web speed is very slow. Everyday, I am tired enough to watch it.
However, from now on, I will pay one of my ears to it---football match.

We are now in quarters. The quarters is the last sixteen. Or it can gainfully said  the boys have been dismissed now we leave real men to battle it out. Brasil, England,France, Urgentina and germany are likely to make it to the last four. Dont forget Italy. They have a fighting spirit that can weaken other teams however good they are. Finally am glad that you have taken an interest to learn and even watch football. Congratulations!!!!!!

I will say Italy. Or maybe I should say BAGGIO.
But since I've discovered the cute little C.Ronald from the Portugese team, I'll switch my option to Portugal maybe. Italy is sometimes too sad for me to bear.
